- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 8 lb. cured, ham, recipe suggests using ham with bone-in, but you can cook the ham of your choice.
1. Spread about 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar on the bottom of the crock pot.
2. Place the ham flat side down into the crock pot – you might have to trim it a little to make it fit.
3. Use your hands to rub the remaining brown sugar onto the ham.
4. Cover. Cook on Low for 8 hours.

So you add no juices? Does the ham turn out juicy without any juice?
Do you think it would be okay if we poured coke over the ham?
Hi…you do not need to add water or any liquid to most cooked meats in a crock pot. They cook in their own juices…and you will be surprised at the liquid that it creates all on its own!!
Did you put in a frozen ham out a thawed hamfor the eight hours on low?
Hi Dani! I used a thawed Ham for this recipe, but you can use a frozen ham, you will just need to add more time for the crocking! Thanks for the Question, and Happy Crocking!
