- Sauce:
- 2 T. oil
- 1/4 - 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 29 oz. can tomato puree
- 12 oz. can tomato paste
- 12 oz. can water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 T. sugar
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 c. diced green peppers
- Meatballs:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 T. water
- 3/4 c. Italian bread crumbs
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 T. oil
1. Saute onions and garlic in oil in saucepan.
2. Combine all sauce ingredients in crock pot.
3. Cover and cook on low while you make the meatballs.
4. Mix together all meatball ingredients except the oil. Form into small meatballs then brown on all sides in oil in saucepan. Drain on paper towels and add to the sauce in the crock pot.
5. Cover and cook on Low for 4-5 hours.
6. When the sauce is close to being done boil spaghetti or pasta of your choice as directed on box.
7. Serve sauce over cooked pasta and enjoy!
NOTE: The Crock Pot Girl likes to top with mozzarella cheese!
