- 1 c. steel cut oats
- 1 c. dried cranberries
- 1 c. dates, chopped
- 4 c. water
- 1/2 c. half and half
- 2 T. honey
Crock Pot Steel Cut Oats Oatmeal is Healthy and you can put anything in it that you know your family will enjoy!
1. Spray inside of crock pot with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT half and half and honey in the crock pot.
3. Cover. Cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours.
4. Stir in half and half and honey, and stir well before serving.
You can also sprinkle with cinnamon and a little maple syrup on top…. YUMMY!
OPTIONAL: If you like more texture in your oatmeal, you can toast the oats before cooking. Place them in a shallow layer on a cookie sheet and toast them at 350 degrees F. for 15-20 minutes, stirring once during cooking time, until oats are a darker in color. Let cool completely before you combine with the rest of the ingredients in the recipe.
Happy Crocking!

My family loved this. Thank you!
Does this recipe fill a whole crockpot? Not sure if I should double or not. Thanks!
Hi Molly, You can double this if you have a large crock pot! Thanks for the question and Happy Crocking!
