I like to make this in the oven…even easier in the crockpot and still super yummy!
So glad I found your site! I found this recipe on pintrest and decided to make it, only the person who pinned it never put the temp setting in the directions. This seriously just saved dinner.
Hi I’d love to try this recipe but I don’t have a cream of chicken soup, what can I substitute for it? Milk? Or homemade plain yogurt? I also have chicken bouillon cubes.
Veena you can substitute with a cream soup that you have on your shelf. A yogurt may be nice too? 🙂
Also how many hours can I cook it for on high?
Veena some recipes are not meant to crock on High, as they need to crock Low and Slow… but if you want to crock on High normally it is half the time of the Low crocking. Hope this helps, and Happy Crocking!
Would it be okay if I cooked it longer then 4 hours around closer to 6-7?
Tiffani I would be afraid it would be too dry if you crocked it for that long.. I don’t think that long would work.
Have you used cubed cooked chicken and if so, how would it affect cooking time?
I have not Lynn, but it should take about the same length of time, but I would definitely test it a bit earlier. Happy Crocking!
I cut up the chicken pieces into bite size! I added sauté mushrooms, celery and onions. YUM, YUM, YUM!
