1/2 c. chopped celery (optional)

This recipe for Slow Cooker Buffalo Cheesy Chicken Dip is one of my go-to dishes for potlucks or social gatherings. Everyone loves it and it’s super easy to make. I usually make it with ranch dressing and blue cheese crumbles but I do switch it up a bit depending on what I have on-hand. You can also use canned chicken breast or a store-bought rotisserie chicken if you don’t have time to cook chicken breasts up for this recipe. Enjoy!
- In a 3-quart slow cooker mix cream cheese, salad dressing, blue cheese crumbles (or cheddar cheese), and wing sauce.
- Stir in cooked, shredded chicken. (note: I have even used chicken shredded from a cooked, store-bought rotisserie chicken to make this recipe even easier.)
- Cover & Crock on LOW for 1 hour or until cheese is melted and dip is heated throughout.
Stir in celery (optional) and serve with tortilla chips or keep warm until ready to serve.
Note: Make this recipe lighter by using reduced-fat versions of the cheeses and salad dressings. Also, this is one of those recipes that is really easy to customize to your liking without messing it up. Add more/less wing sauce to your taste and feel free to experiment with your favorite cheeses!
Happy Crocking!
This is my favorite dip and I always make it for work pot lucks. What a great idea to make it in the crock pot to keep it warm!
I just made this dip for a friend’s birthday party and served with with tortilla chips and flatbread! It was a HUGE hit…everyone’s been asking me for the recipe! THANKS CROCK POT GIRL!
Could you serve this over rice and add a side salad and make an entree out of it? Maybe adding some kidney beans to the dip mix to make it more of a meal?
Hi Martha, please make this recipe your own, and make it to your liking! Love it when others can see a recipe differently. Please post back and let me know how it turned out. Happy Crocking!

[…] Slow Cooker Buffalo Cheesy Chicken Dip […]
This is a favorite for me! I have always loved my food with a little kick to it! As a single woman, I’m enjoying cooking more, especially now that I have a crockpot that makes it a little easier and more fun!
I will put frozen chicken breast and franks red hot in the crock pot in the morning because I don’t have time to precook it. When I get home I add cream cheese and ranch to the mix after I shred the chicken. If I’m going to use it for pasta sauce I will add heavy cream and mozzarella cheese. This is a great recipe thank you for posting it!
I have to see f I can make this gluten free, hubby is celiac.
