Hi! How many would this serve?
Thanks!
Melissa thank you for the question. All of my recipes are on my website at getcrocked.com, and if you look in the upper right hand corner of each recipe page you view, you will see the serving sizes, but happy to share that this recipe serves 6… Happy Crocking! 🙂
Maybe it’s just me, but I think it would be really helpful if you could let us know what size crockpot you use for a specific recipe. I just put all the ingredients in for the sloppy joes, and it only fills my crockpot about 1/4 of the way. I’m worried it won’t cook properly now. 🙁
Hi Renee, I don’t always state the size of the slow cooker, as I don’t want to deter others from making this recipe if they don’t have the exact size of slow cooker. You may want to double this recipe as it sounds like your slow cooker is a large one. You are correct a slow cooker needs to be 1/2 to 2/3 full to crock properly. Happy Crocking!
I just want to say thank you for that little bit of info about how full the crock pot should be! I never knew it had to be over 1/2 full.
I have, I assume, a rather large crock pot (a large rectangle shape), and find things cook very quickly, especially chicken. From now on I will make sure it’s filled a lot more. 🙂 Thank you, and I am loving your recipes!
