This delish recipe was shared by Facebook Friend Ann W. E.! She says it’s her family’s favorite recipe. Thank you Ann for sharing, and it is such an easy recipe! Happy Crocking everyone….
- Stir the softened cream cheese, cream of chicken, and italian seasoning together and pour over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover. Cook on High for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked and fall-apart-tender.
- After the first two hours when the chicken is softer, I shred it up into strips for easier eating.
- Make rice on the side and pour chicken mixture over the rice or on the side if you don’t like your food to touch (like my kids!) LOL
NOTE FROM ANN: You can use thawed or frozen chicken breast, just cook it longer when chicken is frozen.
Happy Crocking!

Can the rice be done in the crockpot at the same time with the chicken? If so, does the time frame change?
Hello Angela… The rice would need to be cooked seperately to keep it from becoming mushy! Thanks for the question, and Happy Crocking!
This sounds GREAT! I’m going to make it tomorrow (I’m a crock pot virgin, and I don’t cook all that much). Just one question, the nutrition facts.. does that include the rice with it? I’m just loosely counting my calories and wanted to know.. THANKS MUCH!!
How many servings does this make and what is considered 1 serving?
Hi Kelly, Thanks for the question! The serving size is in the upper right hand corner of the website, but I am happy to share that it serves 4-6! The serving size depends on who is eating it, at least at my house! I just made it with 3 chicken breast and we got 5 servings out of it, so with 4 chicken breast you are sure to get 6 servings out of it! By the way it is in my hubby’s top 5 crock pot meals. Your family will love it… Happy Crocking!
Made this today. It was excellent!
Thanks for posting back Michelle! It is really good isn’t it… the whole family loves it here! Happy Crocking!
Hi, I was planning on trying this today. I only have thin chicken breast so would I still do the same cook time or should I shorten it?
Thanks
Megan, I know this is a late response, but since they are thin, I would shorten the crocking time… Happy Crocking!
Hi. This sounds great! Can you use cream of mushroom instead of the cream of chicken?
Hi Anne Marie, yes I have used cream of mushroom soup before when I didn’t have cream of chicken on the shelf. Thanks for the question and Happy Crocking!
This can also be served over pasta! Yum!
I loved it! Will definitely make again. Thank you!!
