Are the biscuits already baked when you put them in the crock pot or are they straight from the can? Also what type of canned chicken did you use?
Hey Azure’D… The biscuits are not cooked, each biscuit is cut into fourths, and placed on top and stirred to get wet. I used the canned chicken from Costco’s! Kirkland! Thanks for the question and Happy Crocking!
Do the peas and carrots get mixed in at the same time as the soup and broth get mixed?
Thanks for the question Kwip, I have adjusted the recipe for you! Thanks for bringing to my attention!
Thanks for the clarification. I can’t wait to take this recipe for a test drive.
ok I am totally reading this wrong but I really want to make it. and am confused and this is probably a dumb question but…
its 4 cans 14 oz chicken broth? and how much cream of chicken soup?
Thanks!
Laura it is one can of soup that is 10 3/4 oz. size can. But you are correct it is 4 cans of chicken broth! 🙂
Mine has been in the crock pot for about 3 hours. The biscuits are so sticky and all stuck together like a blanket at the top. I have stirred them from the sides as directed. If I try to stir the whole thing, I’ll have glue. Is this how it is at 3 hours?
Meridith, It sounds like you only moved them away from the sides when you were stirring, is that correct? As you needed to stir often so it wouldn’t stick to the sides but stir the whole biscuits. I would stir the whole thing now, and it sounds like you are about done, so stir in the peas and carrots at the same time. Hope this helps :-)!
You’re right. I misunderstood. I think I was able to break them apart once they cooked so that was good. Looks great, can’t wait to eat it. Thanks for your quick reply! 🙂
Can you use the “slow cook” mode on a power pressure cooker xl for this recipe?
Hi i have your book and followed this recipe. Why does it seem SOOOOO incredibly liquidy? I really can’t see the liquid evaporating? Are you sure 64oz of chicken broth is right?
