What is the difference between cocoa and baking coca? Thanks!
Hi Rachel, I’m not sure of your question, but What I have on hand in my pantry is Natural Unsweetened Cocoa… Hope this helps! Happy Crocking!
Rachel…I had the same question! The recipe say cocoa and then baking cocoa. Are these two different things?
Andrea … no wonder you were confused, but I have corrected the recipe, as it is the same thing.. So Sorry, but thank you for your post!
Hello, I was wondering if you thought I could double this recipe and just increase the time a little. What do you think?
CJ
Carol you can if you have a large enough crock pot, and you wouldn’t need to increase the time. The key is to make sure your crock pot is 1/2 – 2/3 full for it to crock properly. Happy Crocking!
Do I need to make more sauce to spoo over the top once it has finished cooking? Is it the same, brown sugar, coco and hot water that we poured on top of brownie mixture before cooking it? Thanks!
No Teri you don’t need to make more sauce… it will be in the crock pot! It is just as easy as that! Enjoy and Happy Crocking!
This recipe is very similar to one u posted a couple of years ago….u changed a few things..brown sugar to white…butter to oil ….mix water with topping instead of just pouring in…is this recipe the new and improved one? Just wondering which one to follow??!!
Hi Sharon the other recipe is still here, this is just a little bit different. I believe this is the other one: http://www.getcrocked.com/2011/08/18/crock-pot-hot-fudge-cake/
Yes, I did see the other one, that is why I was questioning it…it’s in the crock pot now, I followed the one above..will post the results….thank you…this recipe didn’t mention using a pot liner like the other recipe, but I used one, hopefully it won’t effect the end product….
It is delicious ……only thing I did different was I used Hershey’s special dark cocoa….cake was almost black, but, mmmmmmm so good….will make again, posted on FB…
i have a 7 quart slow cooker. are there any changes i need to do?
Can I use a crock pot liner?
Absolutely Kimmy! Enjoy!
Love to try this recipe but could I sub unsweetened baking chocolate squares for cocoa? If so how many squares. Thank you.
