Ingredients
4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless (about 1 1/4 lb)1 egg
1/3 c. plain bread crumbs
2 - 3 garlic cloves (minced)
1/3 c. shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning

1/2 c. shredded Italian cheese blend (2 oz)
8 oz. pasta, uncooked (pasta of your choice)
Slow Cooker Garlic Parmesan Chicken is perfect with a salad and fresh garlic bread. So delicious!
- Spray a 2 – 3-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Beat egg in a bowl until foamy.
- In separate shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Dip chicken into egg, then coat evenly with bread crumb mixture; place in crock.(You can use a shelf insert if your crock has one to prevent the breading on bottom of chicken from getting soggy.)
- Spread pasta sauce evenly over chicken.
- Cover. Cook on Low for 5 to 6 hours.
- Sprinkle Italian cheese blend over top.
- Cover. Cook on Low for 10 more minutes longer.
- While cheese is melting, cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
Serve: on pasta of your choice! YUM!
Happy Crocking!
Is the serving size listed for the entire dish? Then if we divide the dish into four servings, we would divide the nutrition information as well.
Yes Christy the nutrition facts are for each serving. You are correct! ENJOY!
I’m so thankful I found your recipe feed. It’s making me so want to cook again!!! Hugs to you!

What Is Some Kind Of Insert Could You Use In The Bottom Of Crock pot To Put The Chicken On??
Hi Karen – One of my slow cookers came with a roasting insert similar to this one. It looks like there are a lot of options to purchase just make sure it’s small enough to fit in your crock. Happy Crocking! http://amzn.to/1emeUHl
does insert need nonstick cooking spray? does insert go in first with chicken on top of insert then put mixture on top of chicken. thank you
Martha I would spray the insert as well. Yes the chicken would go in on top of the insert then follow the recipe. Hope this helps, and Happy Crocking!
Made this on Sunday with whole wheat bread crumbs. OMG so delicious!!!! thanks for sharing this recipe!!!
Should the chicken be frozen or thawed?
Rebecca, you should use thawed chicken for this recipe, since you are dipping in the egg and bread crumbs. Enjoy!
I want to try this recipe, but I only have a 6-quart slow-cooker.
How about the cooking times in a bigger slow-cooker?
Thanks for the info
Sally you can always double the recipe, and put the left overs in the freezer for a meal down the road. The slow cooker needs to be 1/2 to 2/3 full to crock properly, so you are correct, a single recipe would not crock properly in your 6 quart. 🙂
Does the chicken need browned in the skillet first? Just wondering if the crumbs will brown and stick to the chicken if just put in the crockpot.
No need to brown the chicken Jenni… Of course you can make this recipe your own, and if you prefer to brown the chicken first you should! Enjoy and Happy Crocking!
Darn it….I want to try it but don’t have nonstick spray! I will be trying this soon…..looks sooooo good!!!!
If you have a bigger crock pit how can u make this recipe work?? Add more pasta sauce?? :/ I’m process of making this now and realized mine was to big
Sorry Mariah I did not see your post earlier. You would most likely have needed to double this recipe for a larger slow cooker! 🙁
Is there a picture of each dish? I prefer to see what it sould look like.
Most all recipes have pictures on my website at GetCrocked.com. There are a few without! 🙂
This is one of the best recipes I have tried. Loved it!
Thanks Ann for your testimony! Love it when we hear back on my recipes… Thank YOU! 🙂
Made this yesterday. Everyone loved it, and it was really easy to throw together quickly.
Music to my ears Christy!
