Happy Crocking!
I made this yesterday, and I didn’t have turkey stock, so I used 4 cups chicken bouillon, and it came out great!
Just curious. Most people work 9 hr and most don’t have a crock with a timer. So why 4 hrs when most people are gone for at least 10. I guess the recipes are for stay at home persons. Going to try it anyhow. Might be a bit over cooked. Just crosses my mind every time I ran across four hour crockpot recipes
Hi Robin, there are some recipes that will crock for 9-10 hours, but some are simply done much sooner, and would be over cooked if left for much longer. For instance this recipe: http://www.getcrocked.com/2014/10/26/slow-cooker-rump-roast-with-au-jus/ You can do a search on the upper right hand corner of each page for “10 hours” and several different recipes will come up for you. Happy Crocking!
