Since you can make several jars at a time, can this recipe be water-bath canned to preserve on the shelf? (probably a silly question, but I’m pretty new to canning….I’ve canned just one other recipe, but this one intrigued me b/c of the dates…)
Thanks for any insight!
Hi Theresa, I don’t really do much canning, so I am not able to answer this question. I’ve been asked about canning before, and would like to know the answer, so if you find out the answer I hope you will shae with all of us! 🙂
What would you change if I just wanted to make apple butter? Without the dates..
Brittany, I would eliminate the dates, and make it the same. Happy Crocking! 🙂
