–(Note, click here if you need help finding barbecue seasoning.) - Cover & Crock on LOW for 12 hours or overnight.

What would be good to use instead of beer
You might want to use a 12 ounce soda for an alternative. Let us know how it turned out! Enjoy and Happy Crocking!
I was wondering if you could store this in Mason jars? An can it to store.
Heidi I am sure you can, but I have never canned a single thing, so if you know someone that does canning, I would search out their strength. Sorry I am not of any help for this question. 🙂
Made this last night, and it seems to have worked out. A slight burnt taste to it though, so maybe putting it in for 12 hours was too much?
Going to make chicken in the crock pot with it and finish it under the broiler today, so we’ll see how it turns out.
What is bbq seasoning?
Gina .. BBQ Seasoning can be bought at your local grocery. I believe my brand is McCormick! 🙂
It’s a dry spice mixture you can get in the seasoning aisle.
I don’t can either, but have you ever made a double batch and froze the extra sauce for later use?
Hi Mari, I have made double batches, and have put it in the refrigerator, as we use it up pretty fast 🙂 But I would think this would be easy to freeze. Happy Crocking!
HI _ i’ve made homemade bbq sauce before, but have to do the brown sugar, etc… Have not seen BBQ “Seasoning” — what exactly is that? And if you can’t find it in the grocery, can you make it ? Thx, AJ
Hi A.J.! I’v got my BBQ seasoning from a Raleigh Distributer, but happy to share this recipe from the good folks at “just a pinch”! Here you go and Happy Crocking! http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/sauce-spread/marinade/homemade-barbecue-seasoning.html
