Are there any suggested substitutes for the Coke and “Johnny’s Slow Cooker…sauce”? I don’t drink soda because of the garbage in it so I don’t want to cook with it and I have no idea what the sauce is. Never heard of it. I love the idea of the bacon and pork together but would prefer a “healthy” alternative than soda. Thanks
Kathleen you can always use chicken broth instead of the soda! Check out Johnny’s seasonings on line, and you can see what is in them, so you can substitute what you have on hand! Happy Crocking!
I’ve never heard of Johnny’s Slow cooker sauce. where can I find it?
Some grocery stores have it, but you can check it out on line, and see if you have it in your area. Thanks for the question!
Hi Jenn,
I found the Johnnys FRENCH DIP CONCENTRATE as well as Johnnys BEEF GRAVY Concentrate, both in the 8 oz jugs at my local Kroger, but nothing specifically referred to as “Johnny’s Slow Cooker for Beef Concentrate.” Notably, it’s also not listed on their website. Would either of the one’s I did find work????

I can’t find either Johnny products. Any idea for replacements?
I am in Canada and can find it! I used Johnny’s Beef Au Jus. Just put it in the slow cooker now so hopefully it will be fine. It is on the very bottom shelf in our grocery store in the baking lane so you may have to do some searching for it.
We do not eat wheat or wheat products. I used chicken broth, Worcester sauce, garlic, and a little Swerve Brown Sugar substitute. Thicken the sauce with arrow root. Serve over riced cauliflower and you have a Keto friendly meal.
