Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts3 c. of turkey gravy (2 - 16 oz. jars will work)
1/2 c. diced onions
1/3 c. chopped celery
6 oz. stuffing (like Stove-Top Stuffing in a box)
1/2 cup Craisins or other dried cranberries
This Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Dinner can be made with either Chicken or Turkey. My dad actually makes this several times a year because he loves the ease of making everything in one pot. This recipe provides 4 generous servings. ENJOY!
- Pour 1/2 c. dry stuffing over the bottom of a large (4.5 Quart+) slow cooker.
(Note: For best results your slow cooker should be 1/2-2/3 full when cooking. The size you need will be dependant on whether you are using chicken breasts, a turkey breast or a whole chicken.) - Place chicken breasts/whole chicken or turkey on top of stuffing.
- Pour 1 & 1/2 c. gravy on the poultry.
- Combine other 1 & 1/2 c. gravy, remaining stuffing; and cranberries, onion and celery in a medium sized bowl.
- Top the poultry with the mixture from the bowl.
- Cover. Cook on Low for 6-7 hours.~ Pairs well with mashed potatoes!

Thanks Lorie, so sorry for my error!
Can turkey tenderloins be used?
Yes Kathleen, make this recipe your own, I am sure it will be great! Enjoy and Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂
Thank you, . I’m going to make this for Christmas.
Should the Chicken or Turkey be cooked or uncooked when put in the crock pot?
Lori they would be uncooked when you place in the slow cooker!
Thank you. That was my assumption based on the amount of time but I wanted to make sure 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for the recipes. Going to try this and the monkey bread. They will be my first Crock Pot recipes.
Do u make the stovetop type stuffing or just use it straight out of the box?
Hi Lori – No need to prepare the stuffing – just use it right out of the box. Thanks & Happy Crocking!
Doing it now thank you for the tips.
Would you send me the correct nutritional information? Thanks so much, and I love your app!
Hi Debi – I checked the nutritional facts again and they are correct. The biggest caloric driver is the gravy. I used jarred Heinz gravy to calculate the calories. You may be able to find “light” gravy, make your own, or use less than the recipe calls for to reduce the calories. Thanks & Happy Crocking!
This was awesome! Thanks. I used chicken thighs because they were on sale and this was delicious! Thank you!
