1 lb. ground beef
32 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
3 c. cottage cheese

Slow Cooker Spaghetti Pie is delicious and will have your kids running to the dinner table! It’s fun and easy!
- Boil spaghetti until al dente, about 7 minutes. Meanwhile, brown the beef, drain, and return to pan.
- Next, add sauce to pan, cook on low heat a few minutes.
- After spaghetti is done, drain, cut, and add to separate large bowl; add parmesan cheese and beaten eggs and stir to combine.
- Next, pour 1/2 c. meat sauce to the bottom of the crock. Layer 1/2 pasta, 1/2 cottage cheese, 1/2 meat sauce, 1/2 mozzarella. Repeat layers.
- Cover and Crock on LOW 6-8 hours.
Optional: (Not Shown) I like to use some of the meat sauce warmed up and poured over top, with a sprinkle of Mozzarella Cheese.
Happy Crocking!
XOXO,

Can you use ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese?
Do you have to cut the spaghetti, and how small?
1/2 spiral sliced sugar ham in crockpot?
I have celiac disease and I have tried to use my gluten free pasta in the slow cooker and find it just turns to mush any suggestions
Clint I would add the pasta during the last hour. You can also cook it first and stir into the recipe before serving if that helps. 🙂
Do you have some diabetic crock meals and desserts?
Debra I have several recipes on my website that are low carb, they are not in a separate category, but I would like at the Slimmer Simmer tab, as you will find these recipes in that category… Happy Crocking!
Can this be made the night before, stored in the fridge and then cooked the next day?
Absolutely Jen… I do most of my recipes that way. If you store in the crock itself, you will need to set it out for 1-2 hours prior to putting it in the slow cooker to prevent cracking the crock. Another alternative would be to sure the slow cooker liner. You can find them at your grocery in the isle with the baggies… 🙂
Can this be doubled??
Katie you can double this recipe, you would want make sure the slow cooker is only 1/2 to 2/3 full in order for it to crock properly. ENJOY and Happy rocking!
Hi ! I absolutely LOVE your recipes on here! And now on with my question, can I replace cottage cheese with something else…? Maybe ricotta? My family of course hates the thought of cottage cheese! So picky.. lol thanks!
Alicia several have posted that is what they did, for the very same reason.. Enjoy!
I added onion and minced garlic to the ground beef. I broke the pasta up before boiling to make it easier to handle. I added Italian seasoning and garlic powder to the cottage cheese and used about half of what the recipe calls for. My family is not a fan of either cottage or ricotta cheeses. I doubled the amount of mozzarella. Thanks for the recipe idea!
Can this be cooked on high for less time?
Dacia, you can definitely do it on High for half the crocking time, but I would check it 1/2 hour prior to that, as every slow cooker crocks differently and you don’t want to over cook this dish! Happy Crocking! 🙂
This looks sooo yummy! However, I just looked at the sodium content!! Yikes! What modifications could I make to cut this down? I’d really like to try it!
