Looks wonderful! However, I am gluten free and Paleo. Can I sub the granola for something else, like chopped walnuts and pecans? Any other grain-free suggestions? Thanks!
I haven’t made it with any grain-free options, but I found a great post with a recipe for gluten-free granola. Maybe you could try that. Good luck and Happy Crocking! http://communityfoodcoop.wordpress.com/2011/04/29/gluten-free-granola/
How many servings will this make?

My husband and I attempted to make this for Christmas morning in our 5.5 quart crock pot and unfortunately it burnt to a black crisp. Does this recipe require a smaller crock pot than 5.5 qt?
Hello Suzanna! This is best made in a 3 1/2 to 4 quart crock pot, as it is only 4 servings! I do believe if you double the recipe it would be fine! Thank you for the question, and Happy Crocking!
Hi Jenn,
This looks amazing, what type of apples do you recommend?

what type of granola cereal works best?
Rhonda I am not sure it matters, but I usually have on hand an organic granola, and that is what I used! Happy Crocking!
