Just wondering if you can use frozen salmon in this soup? Thanks
Hi Cathy – I haven’t used frozen salmon in this recipe. I think it would be okay but to be safe I would thaw it first. (just thinking the frozen salmon may make the rest of the recipe too fishy as it melts…) If you make it with frozen salmon please let me know how it turns out. Thanks & Happy Crocking!
When do you add the corn?
Thanks Blythe for the great eye! Yes you add with the other vegetables, as I have corrected the recipe. Enjoy and Happy Crocking!
What is a substitute for the cream cheese? Has to be lactose free. Thanks
I found on the internet that there is a mozzarella lactose free string cheese, you might try this one! 🙂
I used frozen salmon and frozen rockfish… thawed them, cut them, added them. In place of the chicken broth I used home-made halibut head broth… tasty! Thanks for the recipe!
I’m a bit confused as to fat/sat fat content when fat-free cream cheese is in the ingredient list? Nutritional info must assume regular cream cheese?
Yes Carol, I just checked it, and it is a touchy program, and I typed cream cheese, fat free, and it did not like the comma, so I took the comma out, and I was able to correct the fat content! Thanks for reaching out to me!
