Slow Cooker Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

  • Cooking Time:

6-8 hours on Low, 3-4 hours on High
  • Servings:

    8

Ingredients

2 lb. ground turkey
1 c. milk
1 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 lb. cheese, Colby, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 c. ketchup (optional)

I have so many good meatloaf recipes, and I am sure you will agree it is a great meal to serve family and guests. This one is no different! Enjoy!

  1. In a bowl, mix turkey, milk, bread crumbs, onion, and eggs by hand. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Fold the cheese cubes into the mixture.
  3. Form mixture into a loaf, and transfer to a slow cooker, and top with ketchup.
  4. Cover. Cook on Low for 6-8 hours or on High for 3-4 hours. Internal temperature of Meatloaf will be 180 degrees F (85 degrees C).

Optional: You can also make this with ground beef or ground pork!

NOTE: I have used shredded cheese in this recipe before as I had it leftover from another recipe, and although it was good, I prefer the cheese in cubes, hope this helps!

Does it matter what size crockpot you use?

Just FYI – you have onions in the ingredients list but don’t mention them in the instructions. I did just mix them in with the meat and other ingredients but thought you might want to edit that in.
I have this in the crockpot now for dinner!

I use Ground Turkey but also use Turkey Italian sausage out of the casing too. I use hot but you can use mild if it is your preference. I flatten it on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and spread the cheese over it and roll it like a jelly roll. I have even filled with cheese and spinach.

Making my first-time turkey meatloaf in crock pot right now. Only addition I added was garlic powder. Hoping it turns out great!
