Do you have to use coconut milk? Or can I use a low fat or fat free milk? I’m lactose intolerant but really don’t like the coconut flavor! Thanks
Stephanie please use what works for you, it will still be delicious! Happy Crocking!
Is this a single serving as u show the recipe ?
Hey Kathy, all of the serving sizes are in the upper right hand corner of each page. It is missed from time to time, but happy to share with you that this serves 4. Happy Crocking!
Do you think we can add rum? If so, how much u think?
Hey Pam, you certainly can add rum. The amount would depend on how strong you want it to taste. You might make it, and add rum at the end for taste. Sounds YUMMY!
So the coffee is that regular or decafe??b/c I would prefer decafe
Kate it really doesn’t matter, I’ve made it for my father-in-law with decaf and it was still very good! Thanks for the question, and Happy Crocking!
What size crock pot did you use for this recipe?
Milly a 4 quart crock pot would be fine for this recipe…. so good!
I’m not a coffee drinker! Do you think I could substitute strong tea or even Chai tea?
Paula I would love to hear how this turns out, as it would be a great alternative. I do believe you would need to make sure the tea is strong, or the pumpkin would over power the tea. Please post back and let us know how it turned out. Thank you and Happy Crocking!
Sounds wonderful! Are the nutrition facts for the recipe made with whole milk?
Yes it is figured with the 2% milk, and not almond or coconut milk. Thank you!
Is the 242 calorie count for the entire batch?
Mary the calorie count is per cup.
Could I use pumpkin puree…I just freshly pureed a few pumpkins and have quite a bit…..
Hi Lauren, yes make it your own, and if you need to add extra spices… do a taste test, but believe you will have a hit! Happy Crocking!
This would be a very guilty treat for me since I’m diabetic. I’m allowed 4 carbs each for lunch and dinner, 2 -3 for breakfast and 1 for a treat. I think I will sub some Splenda for half of the sugar and low fat milk. I think we are going to have some Christmas morning
Do u think I could use frozen pumpkin purée ?
Charls I do not know why not. It may take a bit longer to crock, but it will definitely work! Thanks for the question, and Happy Crocking!
Do the coffee grounds dissolve?
Ally you would brew the coffee first, but you need to make it strong! ENJOY! Happy Crocking!
Hey, I just made this and went to fix a cup and something went wrong… My milk looks like it just spoiled and is separated from everything else. I used whole milk and it is still good and in date, I doubled checked and I did everything right.. Do you have any idea what could have gone wrong? I also had something similar in a soup I fixed yesterday that had half and half in it. Thanks for any help!
Nikki it sounds like your slow cooker is cooking too hot? I made it tonight too, and it was delish. I’m so sorry, as I know how disappointing that must be. Check Nikki with the manufacturer of your slow cooker and see if there may be a recall on your slow cooker. 🙁
I have this in the crock pot right now heating. I plan to add a 50/50 mix of pumpkin spice Kahlua and cinnamon spice Kahlua. I also used fresh pumpkin puree.
Oh please Kaillyne post back and let us know how it turned out. I made it tonight too… YUMMY!
How long does this keep after you make it? I’d be the only one drinking it:).
You can refrigerate for several days… it really is delicious!
We made it yesterday and it was very good. ♥ But we both thought is was to sweet for our taste. So next time I will use no sugar so anybody can sugar it by themself like a cup of coffee.
And we had 3 cups of it left over so I put a stick of butter and 1,5 cups of oats into it.
Overnight on low for 8 hours I got a delicious pumpkin latte oatmeal! 🙂
All the best,
Alice
Can I mix all the ingredients the night before and store in the fridge and have it all set to crock in the morning, as I have other things to do…Thanks for the recipe and the help!!!!
You can Pam… If you make in the crock the night before to set in the refrigerator, you will need to set the crock out for about an hour before putting on to heat, as it may crack your crock it put on too quickly. Happy Crocking!
I made this today for the kids and me and it was yummy!!! The kids said it was better than Starbucks!
I made a decaf version.
I don’t know if I missed it but what size can of pumpkin? Thanks!!!
Dawn it is 1/2 cup of pumpkin, so you could purchase the small can of pumpkin. Happy Crocking!
Could i use instant coffee
Belinda I have not made it that way before, I believe others have posted to me before with the same question, but I am sure it would be great! Enjoy!
I just made this. Sooooo good! I substititued 2 of the cups of milk for one cup Eggnog Coffee Mate and 1 cup Fat Free Original Coffee Mate. I’m also not a big coffee lover, so I made one regular cup through my Keurig k-cup coffee. I than made the second cup using the same pod, but lower water setting.
Has anyone tried this with no sugar?
Made this latte at Thanksgiving. It was delicious. One thing however, the pumpkin left a sentiment and we had to strain it as we ladled it into cups – did I not mix it correctly? But it did not stop us from enjoying the whole batch. I will make it again for Christmas 😉
How much vanilla?
It is listed in the ingredients but happy to share 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla! Happy Crocking!
I just made a double batch of this last night because my husband was craving the pumpkin spice capp from the local 7-11… I gotta say there is not much left… It is amazing!!! I love anything in the crockpot and knowing I can do this now is even better….
