Hi, in the picture it shows a top layer of golden sponge. When I tried the recipie all I got was a yummy mix of cooked apples/dates/nuts.
Is there something i’m not doing right to get that sponge layer?
does it need self raising flour? or more than 2T? or is it a separate sponge?
