Ingredients
3 lb. Beef Stew Meat1/2 Stick of Unsalted Butter
1 Large Yellow Onion, sliced
I envelope of dry onion soup mix
- Put butter and beef in a 6-quart slow cooker, sprinkle dry onion soup mix on top
- Cover. Cook on Low for 6-8 hours.
- Stir meat and serve over butter noodles and garnish with parsley.

I love your crock pot meals! Every time I make something from your site, my family goes crazy over it! I made the Butter Beef tonight and my husband went back for THIRDS!! The only thing I did different was at the end I added in 1.5 cups of water and a packet of herb gravy to make some extra sauce for my husband then I served it over rice. So good. Thank you!!

The picture shows this dish with onions and mushrooms. The recipe don’t call for either. Are they added in at the same time or after it has cooked awhile?

Do you add any water to the Crock Pot prior to cooking??
